Political Science Undergraduate Association Executive Team 2024-25

The Political Science Undergraduate Association (PSUA) executive team is chosen through an annual student election held in conjunction with the Students’ Union Student Council elections (usually in March). Any member of the PSUA - defined as any University of Alberta undergraduate student registered in the Political Science Honours, Major, or Minor program - is eligible to run for and hold any executive board position. The duties of each of the eight executive PSUA positions can be found in the PSUA Constitution (CLICK HERE TO VIEW). If you are interested in learning more about the duties of each position, please feel free to reach out to our team. If you are interested in running in the next PSUA executive board election, please keep an eye on the PSUA social media and newsletter for pertinent information likely to be distributed beginning in Winter 2024.

Kenzie Liss — President

Hello, my name is Kenzie and I am the PSUA president this year. I’m in my fourth year of political science with a minor in psychology. I absolutely love any class that deals with social and health politics, and I am planning on pursuing a career in law post grad. Fun fact I actually started as a biology major and ended up switching in my second year and never looked back. I’m super excited to bring the political science department some fun events this year!! In my spare time I love hanging out with my dog and going for runs with my friends.

Nicole Estomo — VP Communications

Hi all, my name is Nicole and I am proud to be VP Communications for PSUA this year. I’m in my second year of Political Science minoring in Sociology. My academic interests are international relations and political theory, I hope to pursue either law or academia after my undergrad. This year I am thrilled to represent the Political Science department on our social medias, and expanding the reach and interest in PSUA. When I’m not consumed by my essays and readings, I’m either bouldering or scrapbooking.

Sehaj Kaur — VP Events Fundraising

Hey everyone! My name is Sehaj Kaur (she/her) and I am a second-year Political Science major and Psychology minor here at the University of Alberta. I am the current Vice-President of Events Fundraising! A little bit about me, I have been in many leadership positions across the city in various capacities; that being said, I look forward to working with the elected team to bring forth some fundraisers that all of you can participate in. When I’m not planning any fundraisers for the PSUA, you can probably find me volunteering somewhere else, listening to some music on blast, binging a new Netflix show, or baking a new treat!

Angelina Rania — VP Finance

Hey guys, my name is Angelina and I am stoked to be the VP finance for 2024/25. I am double majoring in Political Science and Economics, and minoring in Philosophy. I hope to be a sturdy pillar of support for PSUA this year.

Abdullah Al Anik — VP External

Hi folks I’m Anik and I am this years VP External. Be it snow shovelling at -30*C to help out seniors of Edmonton or be it to contribute towards solutions configuring the Child Refugee and Youth displacement crisis at the UN HQ in NY representing the University of Alberta- I have had the privilege to do it all. People asked me- why political science? Well, I admire the hypocrisy of politics where diplomacy is the art of influencing and balancing that power.
